The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has officially released the notification for Assam Polytechnic Admission 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for 3-Year Diploma in Engineering and Technology courses offered by State Government Polytechnics across Assam for the academic session 2025–2026.

Note: From 2024–25 onwards, there will be no Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT). Admission will be based on HSLC marks in Mathematics and Science.
Eligibility Criteria

| Educational | Passed HSLC or equivalent in one sitting with Mathematics & Science |
| Required Marks | Theory & Practical pass required in Math and Science |
| Minimum % Required | Gen/OBC/MOBC: 40%, SC: 35%, ST: 33% |
| Age Limit | Minimum 16 years as on 31st Dec 2025, no upper age limit |
Important: PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) must be submitted at counseling. Provisional admission is possible with PRC application receipt and undertaking.

- Income Certificate for TFW Scheme
- Sports Quota Certificate
