The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati is inviting applications for various academic positions on a contractual basis. These roles are part of the extramural research project titled "DIGItal Technologies for Optimizing the Continuum of CARE for Diabetes and Hypertension Management in the Public Healthcare System in India – DIGI-CARE: An Implementation Research Study," led by Dr. Purabi Phukan, Professor & HOD, Department of Community and Family Medicine.

Position Details:

1. Consultant (Scientific Medical) / Consultant (Scientific Non-Medical)

Number of Posts: 2

Essential Qualifications:

MD or PhD in public health, social sciences, community medicine, or community health with publications.

Alternatively, a Master's in Data Analytics or Health Informatics with experience in data-driven decision-making, health IT implementation, and a digital environment, accompanied by publications.

Retired Government Employees with the required educational qualifications, who were drawing pay in the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600/- at the time of retirement, and possessing adequate experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Familiarity with systems research and implementation research frameworks.
• Experience working with multicentric research projects.
• Proficiency in data management and qualitative data collection and analysis.
• Experience in report writing, publications, advanced statistics, and modeling techniques.
• Team management skills and the ability to present project insights to stakeholders.
• Fluency in Assamese (both spoken and written).
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data management and analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, or R.
• Previous experience working in national health programs involving digital health.

Monthly Emoluments: Up to Rs. 1,00,000/- (consolidated), depending on experience and knowledge.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 70 years as of the date of the walk-in interview.

2. Consultant (Scientific Medical) / Consultant (Scientific Non-Medical)

Number of Posts: 2

Essential Qualifications:

• MBBS with R&D experience and published papers.
• Or, professionals with an M.Sc. (Life Sciences), M.Tech (Computer Science/Information Technology), MPH (Master in Public Health) with R&D experience and published papers.
• Or, retired Government Employees drawing pay in the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/- at the time of retirement, with at least 20 years of experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in health system research, implementation research, or operational research.
• Experience with mHealth applications, data analytics, telemedicine, digital health, and electronic health records (EHRs).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to train and support field teams in using digital health tools.
• Proficiency in data management and qualitative data collection and analysis.

Monthly Emoluments: Up to Rs. 70,000/- (consolidated), depending on experience and knowledge.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 70 years as of the date of the walk-in interview.
