Pay Scale

The selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Band–1 (₹12,000 – ₹52,000) with Grade Pay ₹3,900 plus other admissible allowances as per government norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01/01/2025)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Class VIII and not exceeded HSSLC/Class 12 or equivalent qualification. Applicants with higher qualifications are not eligible.

Citizenship & Residency

• Must be an Indian Citizen as per Articles 5–8 of the Constitution.
• Must be a permanent resident of Assam with a valid PRC or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

Other Requirements

• Candidates must be registered in an Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Applicants must submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A.

Selection Process

The APSC Grade IV recruitment process will consist of two phases:

Phase I: Screening Test (OMR Based)

• Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• Duration: 2 hours
• Total Marks: 100

Subjects:

• Arithmetic – 20 marks
• General Knowledge (Assam-specific) – 20 marks
• Reasoning – 20 marks
• Social Science – 20 marks
• Science – 10 marks
• Elementary English – 10 marks

Phase II: Interview

• Shortlisted candidates from Phase I will be called for an interview, maintaining a category-wise ratio of 1:5.
