Eligibility Criteria

1. Professor

• Candidates must fulfil UGC-prescribed eligibility conditions, including:
• A Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
• Total research score of 120 as per UGC Appendix II, Table 2
• At least 10 years of teaching and/or research experience at university or equivalent national-level institutions

OR

• An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. and 10 years of relevant professional experience, with documentary evidence of significant academic or applied contributions

2. Associate Professor

• Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline
• Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
• At least 8 years of teaching/research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor
• Minimum 7 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
• Research score of 75 as per UGC norms

3. Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree with 55% marks in the concerned/allied subject
• Must have cleared UGC NET / CSIR NET / SLET / SET, or be exempted as per UGC Ph.D. regulations (2009/2016 and amendments)

OR

• Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 globally (QS / THE / ARWU), as specified in the notification
