The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has announced the recruitment of 4500 Assistant Teachers for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools. Eligible candidates who are Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam, and have qualified in the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply online.

Small Family Norms

Candidates having more than two living children on or after 1st January 2021 are ineligible for appointment as per Assam Government policy.

Medium of Instruction Requirement

Candidates must have either Language-I or Language-II of ATET/CTET matching the medium of instruction of the applied school.

Hindi Teacher (UP)	Graduate with Hindi as a subject from a UGC-recognized university + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR B.Ed./B.El.Ed. + Assam TET/CTET for UP
