The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced PWD Assam Recruitment 2025, inviting applications for 654 vacancies for Junior Engineer (Civil) positions. These posts fall under the Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D] and the joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) & Public Works (Building & NH) Department. Department: Joint cadre of PWRD & PW(B&NH)D
Pay Scale: ₹14,000 - ₹70,000 + GP ₹8,700 (Pay Band – 2)
Age Limit (as of 01/01/2025): 21 to 40 years
Educational Qualification:
- 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering / Civil Engineering & Planning / Construction Technology from an AICTE-recognized technical institute.
- The diploma must be a regular course.

Eligibility Criteria for PWD Assam Recruitment 2025

Age Relaxation

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
PwBD: 10 years

Citizenship & Residency Requirements

Candidates must be Indian Citizens as per Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam and should provide either:
- PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) issued in Assam for educational purposes, OR
- Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
