1. Junior Stenographer

Total Posts: 4
Category-wise Vacancy:
- UR: 3
- OBC: 1
Pay Scale: Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100/-) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
Upper Age Limit (as of 14.02.2025): 27 years
Essential Qualification:
- 10+2/XIIth or its equivalent
- Proficiency in stenography as per DoPT norms

2. Junior Secretariat Assistant

Total Posts: 8
Department-wise Vacancy:
- General: 3
- Finance & Accounts: 1
- Stores & Purchase: 4
Pay Scale: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200/-) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
Upper Age Limit (as of 14.02.2025): 28 years
Essential Qualification:
- 10+2/XIIth or its equivalent
- Proficiency in computer typing speed and computer usage as per DoPT norms

Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NEIST Jorhat Recruitment

Citizenship:

Applicants must be citizens of India.

Age Relaxation:

Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PwBD: 10 years

Application Fee

Candidates must arrange a crossed Demand Draft for ₹500/- drawn on any nationalized bank, valid for at least 3 months.
The DD should be made in favor of “Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat”, payable at Jorhat.
Deadline for submission of the application and Demand Draft: 14.02.2025 (including candidates from far-flung areas).
Exempted Categories: SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted from the application fee.

✅Ex-servicemen certificate/full discharge book, if applicable.
