CBSE CTET 2026 Overview
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session.
This national-level eligibility test will be conducted in 20 languages across 132 cities in India on 8th February 2026.
Candidates who aspire to teach at the Primary (Classes I–V) or Upper Primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels in government schools must qualify for this test.

CBSE CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is based on the level of teaching you’re applying for:
1. For Classes I–V (Primary Stage)

| Graduation | With at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Must complete a 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years of appointment. |
2. For Classes VI–VIII (Elementary Stage)

CTET 2026 Exam Pattern
The CTET exam consists of two papers:
